Though I've been painting since the age of 12, it wasn't until my children were born that I switched from oils to acrylics. My artwork has evolved over the past 10 years into the style you'll see here. I paint on wood rather than canvas because I love the character of it; it's so smooth and beautiful and each piece can be so different. I love to have the wood background showing through on every picture I paint. Mostly self-taught, my technique has its roots in tole painting, which I now teach to others. Each piece in this collection is original, each stroke hand-painted by myself including the lettering of the inspirational verses. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I've enjoyed creating them.
